Saxophone Lessons: Depending on the student’s age, it it sometimes advisable to learn recorder prior to studying saxophone, although this is not always essential.
Each player has their own distinctive tone, warmth & intonation. We teach our students sight reading, music theory and technique, all through a range of musical styles.
Students have the option to sit graded examinations in saxophone, facilitated by RIAM, ABRSM and Trinity College London. Exams take place during 3 sessions each year; Spring, Summer & Autumn. Exams are held in Mezzo Music Academy, with an independent adjudicator from the relevant exam board.
We are always happy to work with students who have no desire to complete exams and wish to learn and play the saxophone for pure enjoyment.
