Jamie Gogan is a classical guitarist and teacher based in Dublin. He graduated in 2023 from TU Dublin Conservatoire with a First-Class Honours Bachelor of Music Performance under the guidance of Dr. Marco Ramelli. During his studies, Jamie spent a year abroad in Spain studying with Antonio Rocha in the Conservatorio Superior di Musica Vigo. Jamie is very passionate about teaching and aims to create an atmosphere in which his students develop their expressivity and style on the guitar.
In 2020 Jamie founded Listoke Concert Series, an ongoing series of concerts promoting both classical and folk music. They also involve workshops with organisations such as Corde D’Autunnoand Touch the sound project. As a performer, Jamie regularly plays in Dublin. Recent performances include recitals in TU Dublin Conservatoire’s ‘Lunchtime Concert Series’ as well as a flute and guitar duo at the Instituto de Cervantes as part of ‘Mediterranean July’ festival. Jamie currently holds a position in the artistic Residency Erranti in Milan, working on a project focusing on folk music within the context of the classical guitar.
