David Irving Piano Lessons & Musicianship:

Originally hailing from Mayo, David Irving has been a lover of music since a young age, and began playing tin whistle and recorder in various school ensembles and community youth productions when he was 7. He also took lessons in singing and acoustic guitar for a couple of years before deciding to switch to piano. He quickly fell in love with the instrument and went on to complete all of his piano and music theory grade exams with the Royal Irish Academy of Music. David studied classical piano with Chloe McGuire in Mayo, and studied theory & harmony alongside.

David has received a number of music and academic awards including the RIAM High Achiever Award, the All Ireland Scholarship sponsored by JP McManus, and an Academic Entrance Scholarship to University College Dublin. In 2020 he graduated from his Bachelor’s Degree in Music & French with First Class Honours. He is currently completing a Master’s Degree in Musicology in UCD.

His other love is languages, also speaking Irish, Spanish & Italian to a professional capacity.
